The article tries to explain the different types of biases which can impact the overall leadership methods within the company. The article explained that there are non-judgmental awareness which tend to promote the focus and reflection and also frames the bias to act as perceptions which can be used by the leader to increase their effectiveness. The article provides two biases- similarity bias and confirmation bias. It can be said that similarity bias is one of the most challenging biases as it helps in fostering exclusion and inclusion and in and out group and also tends to trigger in forming entrenched camps where the individuals who have similar opinions who deeply mistrust people having different opinions, can provide harm to them. In an experiment done at Yale’s Infant Cognition Center, the similarity bias was more evident when the infants were offered to choose any out of two different bowls of cereal. In the same scenario, two puppets were introduced and one of the puppets chose the same cereal as baby and the other picked the other cereal. When asked the baby to choose the puppet, he selected the same puppet that chose the same cereal as the baby.
